Navajo Churro..... this fiber is from a double-coated, rare, heritage breed of sheep. Considered "rare" by the Livestock Breed Conservancy. The Churro fleece consists of three types of fiber.... downy undercoat, inner coat and kemp fibers. It is a coarse fiber that is low in lanolin. Native Americans still use this breed of sheep to weave their beautiful Navajo Rugs and blankets. |
